VALORANT 2023 Full Schedule

Cursed

Since the official launch of VALORANT in June 2020, it has become the center of attention of every competitive shooter player. The game achieved its goals and amassed a considerable player base within a year. The VALORANT Esports has been equally successful, with thriving tournaments reaching 1M viewers on Twitch alone.

The 2023 competitive VALORANT season will include several new leagues and returning events, as announced by Riot Games, the tournament organizer and game developer. The 2019 tournament season will start in the first part of the year. The details of the 2023 VALORANT season schedule and the possible Franchising system are shown below.

VALORANT Franchising System

Riot Games will create a franchise-like structure in the VALORANT circuit next year. In traditional sports, franchising refers to a circuit with a set number of owned teams. In a closed system, teams are invited or chosen to participate.

Riot's VALORANT system is comparable. The firm refers to a partnership arrangement where companies legally engage with Riot to participate in the league while donating their intellectual property.

As a result of the collaboration, participating teams will be eligible to join one of three global leagues. Each league will consist of ten clubs for thirty around the globe in the first season. The Americas League, the European and Middle Eastern Association League, and the Asian Association League all exist. Many different nations will be represented in each league.

Instead of owning a piece of the league like some other big sports franchises, clubs in this league will participate in the profits from the sale of virtual things based on their intellectual property rather than competing for fans' dollars.

Challengers

January is the month that will mark the beginning of the 2023 season for Challengers teams, as well as those teams who were unable to form a contract with Riot to play in one of three international leagues. In March, the first Challengers circuit will close; soon, the second will get underway.

If they win the Ascension tournament in July, some clubs will be allowed to compete in one of the partnering leagues the following year. The individuals who triumph in their separate Ascension competitions in 2023 will be granted entry into their respective worldwide leagues in the next year, 2024.

Championships And Competitions on An International Scale

The Riot season will start in February with a tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil, serving as the season's kick-off event. To crown a victor during this event that lasts for three weeks, all 30 teams will compete. The champion of this competition will be awarded an extra berth in the Master's tournament, which will take place in June.

The first of three international leagues will begin in March, and after a total of eight weeks of play, the champions of each league will be revealed in May, a whole month before the Masters tournament begins in June.

In August of 2023, a tournament known as the Masters will be held, including competition between the top teams from each worldwide league. Midway through September will once again mark the end of Champions, and the month of October will mark the beginning of the offseason.

Teams still have the opportunity to qualify for the Champions tournament via the last chance qualifications that will take place in July. After taking a short break, the season will resume in February 2024.
